Completed in collaboration with UW Center for Public Health Nutrition, the two time-lapse visualizations show data for 500 “Seattle Obesity Study" participants whose movements were tracked over the course of a week via GPS devices. The video visualizes physical activity for over 24 hours. As participants move across the city, blue paths map to slower speeds (e.g. walking, running or biking) while white paths represent traveling at faster speeds (e.g. driving or taking public transit).
